In a powerful demonstration of environmental stewardship, the NTZDC Gatitu Tea Factory led the surrounding community in planting 987 trees to restore degraded riparian areas.
Riparian zones — the green corridors along rivers and streams — are vital for water quality, biodiversity, and soil stability. Restoring them protects both the environment and the livelihoods that depend on it.
The initiative reflects the Corporation's commitment to ecosystem restoration and climate resilience as a living, community-driven practice rather than a one-off event.
